Two numbers matter most on a certificate of analysis: identity and purity. Identity confirms the sample is the compound it claims to be, usually by mass spectrometry. Purity tells you what proportion of the sample is that target compound, typically by HPLC.
Higher purity means fewer unknown by-products in a study. That is why we publish the full report rather than a simple pass/fail.
